Large C19th Black Lacquer And Gilt Column Lamp
Grand scale 19th century English black lacquered and gilt highlighted turned column lamp on a square base, circa 1880 and in lovely original condition.
The black and gilt go so well together and with the proportions of this lamp, really do make it a great decor piece.
The finish is good and shows some very honest age marks here and there, which I have left as you see as I personally prefer to see this. However, if you would rather the black lacquer and gilt were touched up a little, that is no problem for me to do so for you.
The lamp is fully re wired, using a linen corded flex and pat tested too.
Shown with an example shade for you to help with perspective. The shade has a diameter of 46cm.
Measuring:
25 1/4 inches or 64 cm high
3 inches or 7.5cm diameter column
7 1/2 inches or 19 cm² base Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
