Jelly Mould - Salesman's Sample. C1900.
A small size ceramic salesman's sample of a jelly mould, comprising of the outer mould and the resulting jelly representation.
It has the makers mark showing it was made in Staffordshire, but the manufacturers name is difficult to make out. It was made about the turn of the century, circa 1900.
They are in very good condition considering it will have been taken from shop to shop, and demonstrated in each one. There are no chips or cracks or repairs, just staining due use.
The outer mould is 2.25 inches or 6 centimeters high and 4 inches or 10 centimeters from side to side.
When packed there will be paper between them as sometimes when assembled it can be difficult to separate them.
