Hunting Tin And Leather Case
A top quality leather case containing the original silver plated hunting box, for a sandwich or a large piece of fruit cake.
The leather case is in almost unused condition and bears the name of Sadler in Edinburgh Andrew Watt & Sons. I think this dates to around 1920. The leather is top quality.
The plated tin inside is in extremely good condition both the leather case and the tin bear the original owns initials. The tin is a very tight fit inside the leather case, which again indicates minimal use.
The tin does not bear a makers mark, but Dixon & Sons of Sheffield were well known for making these boxes.
Leather containing the tin measures 14cm x 9cm x 3.5 cm
The tin inside will be slightly less than these dimenions.
The strap measures 21cm long
