Fife Agricultural Society Silver Medal c1939
A very good Silver Agricultural Medal dating from c1939.
The medal was by "The Fife Agricultural Society". This medal was "Won by Miss Anne Drysdale, Kilrie" in the "Childrens Riding Class, 1939".
The medal is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GA&S", the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "O" for 1938/39.
The recipient of the is Miss Anne Drysdale. The Drysdale family farmed at Kilrie, Kirkcaldy on the east coast of Scotland. The medal most likely awarded at the Fife Show.
The circular medal measures approximately 1 3/4" inches (45mm) in diameter. The weight is 39.4g.
