An interesting Dutch silver tea caddy of sarcophagus form with hinged cover and raised on lion's paw feet. Hallmarked on the underside with the Dutch export mark of a lion with key and date letter for 1817. The front having an embossed scene of a village celebrating with musician and dancing couple with fisherman, church, houses, chickens, dogs and penned horses. The cover and sides all having a waterfront scenes with boats, fishermen, windmills and church etc. The reverse scene of fishermen and women trading fish at a waterfront against a backdrop of typical Dutch houses. Size:- Height...4''/ 10cm. Width...4.5''/ 11.5cm. Depth...3''/ 7.5cm. Please note this tea caddy has not been cleaned. Free U.K. delivery on this item.
