17th C. Spanish Leather Studded Trunk - Dome Top - c1650
A stunning Spanish travel chest with classic dome top, leather-bound and studded.
Offering original hinging, handles, clasps and lock plates with desirable patina this leather chest is an attractive and functional piece of antique furniture with useful proportions.
Dating from the 17th century the piece is well past it's 300th birthday and offers tremendous history and interest.
A half-moon lid rises to reveal the lined interior. The lining shows expected signs of age.
Externally the piece displays floral detail to the stud work a very pleasing deep colour and grain to the leather.
