An Edwardian croquet set stand by F H Ayres & Co. containing a croquet mixed set viz. four mallets,four balls(three of which are marked for 1914) two posts and six metal hoops.
Height of stand alone 29"(74 cms),with mallets 39.5"(100 cms).
Width 18"(46 cms)
Depth 9"(23 cms).
Apart from being an attractive piece to have in the hall it is extremely practical being able to be carried straight to the lawn.
One new foot at some stage.
F H Ayres was established in the early nineteenth century and started making games from about 1880.They were eventually taken over by Slazenger.
