Fine large Chinese/Mongolian bronze eagle bust, c1910. It is well cast with great detail to the feathers, eyes, beak etc and is heavy for its size (1.36kg). On the base are character marks and I think given the depiction of an Eagle it is Northern Chinese or Mongolian as there is a strong tradition of hunting with birds of prey in these areas. It has taken on great colour/patina following years of handling. Overall condition is good with no obvious defects.
