British Patented Polished Steel Corkscrew
Circa 1900, unusual and stylish British patented polished steel corkscrew, with very elaborate cast casing with foliate and geometric designs, and the words ‘Original Safety’, ‘Made in England’, ‘Trademark’ and registration numbers. There is a small aperture coming from the side and a ratchet arm which can lock to a table or counter top. The arm has a wooden knob handle and rises and falls to lift and drop the corkscrew. There are two handles at the bottom for grabbing the neck of the bottle.
