A very large and stylish studio pottery 'Totem' table lamp by British ceramicist Bernard Rooke c1960's / 1970's. A sculptural piece having hand-made sections of terracotta and stone with a combination of glazed and unglazed finishes. The lamp is made up of separate sections and positioned on a central metal tube. The lamp is fitted with an original 1960's hessian conical shade. The shade does have a slight depression (shown on image) but as it can be turned to the back, we thought it it better to have it with the original shade. Rooke's incised studio stamp can be seen on the base. In good original condition, rewired and PAT tested.

Total height 124cm Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
