Here we have a very elegant Art Nouveau 9ct Gold Heart-Shaped Pendant and Chain with a central Amethyst and seed Pearls.

The pendant is in the classic Art Nouveau style with a flowing organic design creating the outer heart shape and the inner floral decoration. The round amethyst catches the eye, whilst the three leaves and central flower are decorated with delicate seed pearls.

Both the pendant and chain are stamped as 9ct gold.

The pendant is 2.7cm / 1.1" across and 3.5cm / 1.4" in length, dropping from the chain. The chain is 46cm / 18" long. The pendant and chain together weigh 2.7g / 0.1oz.

Amethyst is the birthstone for February and is said to have a calming influence on those who wear it. The ancient Romans believed that if you drank wine from a cup decorated with amethysts you wouldn't get drunk but we don't guarantee wearing this pendant will have the same effect!
