This is a beautiful antique Tabriz carpet with a lovely soft hand woven wool and most appealing colourway which dates from around 1900. The rug has an intricate flowing design with a warm raspberry field of Shah Abbas design enclosed by grey and olive green borders with palmettes and raspberry guard stripes. This is a quality carpet with a high knot count and it is in excellent condition throughout. All of its edges have been pofessionally secured by London based Barin Carpet Restorers. The pile is even and full.
The rug is a really useful room size measuring 196 cms by 135 cms.
