This is a beautiful antique rug from Central Persia with a good detailed design and strong colours. The rug has a raspberry field of scrolling vines around an indigo medallion framed by spandrels and very pretty palmette borders. The rug is in good order (some wear to fringe as photographed) and is a useful size measuring 211 cms by 138 cms.
