Antique Late Georgian Bone Pocket Apple Corer

A fine and rare example of a late Georgian-era pocket apple corer, dating to the early 19th century. This compact utensil is crafted with a well-turned bone handle, shaped for comfortable use and portability, in line with typical Georgian domestic tools.
The corer features a traditional bone blade, used for coring apples or similar fruits, and would have likely been carried in the pocket or sat among personal eating tools. Its simple, utilitarian form reflects the understated craftsmanship of the period.
• Date: Circa early 1800s (Late Georgian period)
• Material: Natural bone handle with metal corer
• Dimensions:
– Length: 10.5 cm
– Width: 2 cm
• Design: Classic Georgian pocket utensil – minimal, functional, and elegant
• Condition: Very good for age. Minor staining, a small crack and surface wear are present, consistent with frequent use and lending an attractive aged patina
These tools were often individually handmade and are now increasingly scarce, especially in well-preserved condition. A perfect addition to a collection of antique kitchenalia, treenware, or Georgian period utensils.
