This is an attractive early 20th century antique Kayseri carpet from central Anatolia with a lovely soft hand woven wool and finely detailed design. The rug has an indigo field of scrolling vines centered by a cusped medallions framed by spandrels of floral borders.
The rug is finelyl woven, with a high knot count. It is in excellent condition and is a useful room size measuring 220 cms by 150 cms.
