A Pair of Edwardian Wooden India Exercise Clubs
These clubs were popular in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods and were used as part of an exercise regime. Soldiers stationed in India saw locals using them, brought them back to the UK.
They were even used in an Olympic event in 1904. They are turned from a single piece of wood they have long handles and a bulb at the end to add weight, each being 18" long and weighing 1/2lb.
