A French Baker’s Wooden Bread Paddle

This is a piece of French history, it is a Chestnut and Pine Bread paddle used for moving the dough into and the bread or pizza out of a wood fired bread oven, the great heat of these ovens is the reason for such a long handle
The paddle blade is made in pine it is 18” across and 28” long, the total length of the paddle is 8ft
