Lovely quality mid 19th century French walnut, marquetry and brass box by PARIS MANUFACTURING COMPANY. The box is mainly veneered in highly figured walnut with very nice marquetry inlaid scene to the top. Nice shape square brass swan neck type handle to the front with spring lock catch. The box is also marked NICE 1865 at the front. Inside is lined with original dark blue lining fabric.

Nice quality box with no damage and no repairs, good colour and patination.
