1920s French Patisserie Advertising Figure, Character Doll

This is a Jolly piece, it is the figure of a Bakers Lad dressed in his 19th Century Baker’s costume, which looks a little to big for him and he has very large boots on his feet

His features are typical of this period looking very much like a French Character Doll he has blue eyes and outstretched arms perhaps he once had a Baguette in his hand

Our cheery chap is in pretty good condition, he has some dark paint on his right arm which is not original and he has a couple of chips on his gown at the very bottom, well I did say it was too big for him, he is 36” tall, and 17” wide and 15” deep
