18th Century Oak Seaman`s Chest-Treasure Chest !
-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-
A wonderful solid oak late 17th / early 18th century domed top Seaman`s chest, having immense charm and character.
Richly bound with the original highly decorative iron strap-work and hinges, with iron carrying handles to the sides.
A wonderful very tactile chest, which simply oozes charm and character. Beautiful patination to the iron and the wood.
The overall condition is very good antique condition. With general expected signs of age and use. Minor small loss to the iron work.
Very heavy, robust, solid sturdy and strong.
A classic "Treasure Chest"
