We are pleased to offer for sale this rather lovely hand painted porcelain Satsuma vase which was converted in the past into a Table Lamp Base, together with its new Silk Brocade Shade by the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge, etc. TV Series lampshades.

The base is hand painted and richly ornamented with Japanese figures in garden settings in the traditional Satsuma colours, with some fine line gilding and stands on a brass base, with ornamental flowers around the edge.

The shade is in the 'Dorchester' style in dark cream Silk Brocade, with soft gold braid, fringe and tassels.

The lamp has been completely rewired in gold antique style braided fabric covered flex and has all new fittings. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Height to top of shade: 25" - 63.5cm

Diameter of shade: 15" - 38cm

Diameter of base: 5 1/2" - 14cm

Material: Porcelain & brass

Condition: Very good. The Satsuma vase is in perfect condition with no damage. The shade is new.
