Impressive but unfussy four poster bed. This we suspect was likely made in the colonies for the English market around 1900. The base is carved all the way round and everything sits on the cabriole legs. This is a really good size to take a king size mattress. Many antique four post beds are of course quite small. This one has the turned pillars and the gallery around the top, just waiting for your own detailing if required. THe original base is in hard wood as of course is the whole bed, teak we suspect. It has been cleaned and refinished in our workshops so is in very nice tidy condition. It comes into numerous pieces for easy installation so that is not a problem almost anywhere.
