Yew Wood Windsor Chair Rockley Maker
A Good 19th century Yew Wood Low Back Windsor Chair with an Elm seat. this lovely chair has a very nice colour and patina created by many years of waxing and cleaning we do like to aquire chairs in this condition and then leave them be. This chair is from the Rockley workshop of either George Nicholson or Fred Walker, Rockley is a tiny hamlet just south of the town of Retford and is noted for the production of high quality Windsor chairs. The condition is excellent.
