WMF Jugendstil centrepiece with glass liner c1885. Twin handled frame with decorative details finished in oxidised silver plate - designed to give it an 'aged' appearance! Shaped emerald green glass liner with original woven-wire posy holder. Stamped "WMF EP OX" signifying that it was electroplated in silver and that the silver plate was "oxidised" to give it a darker patina. The piece (including handles) measures 25 cm width, 8 cm depth and 9 cm in height. Glass liner is 21 cm by 6 cm. Viewing by appointment only.
