Winter Landscape Oil Painting by George D'Heedene
Good sized winter landscape painting in oil on canvas by the Belgian artist George D'Heedene (1909-1973) c.1960. A winter scene of houses beside a river in a flat landscape with heavy snow on the ground below a putty coloured sky with patches of blue and hints of weak yellow sunshine. Painted in a loose impressionistic style with brush and palette knife in thick oil paint. Signed in the lower left hand corner. Good condition, presented unframed on a simple wooden stretcher.
