A magnificent antique William IV chair in beautifully figured rosewood dating from circa 1835. An unusual design with pinched back and beautifully carved top rail . The back carved with acanthus leaves and standing on turned and reeded front legs and sabre legs to the back. The upholstered drop in seat has been recently reupholstered in a quality self patterned fabric. Solid and sturdy with beautiful patina and figuring to the rosewood, a wonderful statement price that would me a great desk chair or dressing table/bedroom chair.
