An extremely rare example of an elegantly Baxter designed Evening Sky aquamarine vase. Pattern number 9492 as featured in the 1957 catalogue. The original colour way for these vases was cased green and blue however, these colours were unstable and resulted in many failures during the cooling process. From 1958 the combination colours were abandoned and a single shade was used as seen with this example.
Polished pontil within 5 shallow lobes.
In excellent condition with wear to base in line with use.
Height 10.5”(26.5 cm)
Diameter at the rim 3”(7.5cm)
