Here we have a nice quality writing slope in walnut with mother of pearl decoration to the top and escutcheon, upon opening there is a lavender coloured plush slope, associated glass ink well, pen tray which lifts to reveal a secret compartment and one side of the slope opens by way of a brass catch to reveal a document storage area, there is the original working lock and key.
