A very attractive and fine early Victorian Rosewood and Mother of Pearl inlaid writing box. Profusely inlaid to top and front. All inlay intact and original. Beautiful colour and patina to the Rosewood veneers. No loss of veneer. Box opens to form a writing slope with all original fittings and inkwells inside. Good size at 17 3/4" wide x 9 3/4" deep x 6 5/8" high. Open size is 19 1/2" long. Original key and lock working. In superb untouched condition.
