A very cute 1950's Tinplate Toy Reading Bear in great working order!

Yes....a real 'Reading' Bear! Wind him up and he flips through the pages of the baby book in his paws, nodding his head at each page.

In good vintage condition for his age, dressed in beige felt dungarees (one little red felt button missing at front,easily replaced. One ear a little battered. Red metal shoes in great condition. The little metal baby book has all pages intact with pictures of cat, dog, pony, pig, duck, hen and calf! Most importantly, the wind-up mechanism and spring are in good working order.

Manufactured by the ALPS Company in Japan in the 1950's, now becoming inceasingly scarce.
