This vintage compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
A lovely slim-line 1950s Stratton "Princess" compact mirror in good condition. The lid is very beautiful Lucite with engraved daisy-form flowers set with rhinestones and diamond cut foliage. An adorable classically beautiful mid-century vanity! The bevelled mirror is good & gives an accurate reflection. The inner lid is very attractive having vertical lines & the "Compact-in-Hand" logo. The inner lid is signed "Stratton" & the "Compact-in-Hand" logo is engraved on it. This self-opening mechanism works perfectly every time. The original felt pouch & sifter are in place & they are in good condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The base is decorated with the famous all over star pattern. There is slight discolouration around the right hand side rhinestone and this is reflected in the price.
The compact measures 3" & weighs 87.3 grams.
