Vintage Japanese Kokeshi Dolls
A collection of 3 original Japanese Kokeshi dolls, all hand turned featuring beautiful hand painted local scenes. They each show all the features of this ancient form of folk art from northern Japan (Tohoku region). In the Kokeshi homes these were used as very special ornamental elements, as they were considered a good omen against bad luck. Today the dolls represent affection, love, loyalty, happiness and truth.

These vintage Kokeshi dolls are highly collectable worldwide and especially popular amongst Japanophiles. They look stunning anywhere in the home, either as a single piece or displayed together. They also make thoughtful and unique gifts. All 3 dolls are in good vintage condition.
