Victorian white metal and Mother of Pearl "Tussie Mussie" or posy holder. When a young woman was given a small posy, often violets, she would put the posy in the holder, securing the flowers with the pin. The posy holder could then be carried using the finger ring as security. This one is beautifully made, the handle carved like a parasol handle. It measures 17.5cm in length. Dates from around 1880. I prefer payment by bank transfer, details on request.
