Victorian Silver Serpent Necklace

Spectacular Victorian Silver Serpent necklace set with turquoise in the form of an ouroboros holding a heart in it's mouth, symbolising endless love.
The necklace is made up of individual silver segments around an iron wire core and slinks around the neck, nestling comfortably into the contours of the collar bone.
It is incredibly detailed - the serpent's head is wonderfully modelled showing the creature's eyelashes and minuscule teeth - even the under side of the head shows the tiny, individual scales on it's skin. It gleams enticingly.
Length 40 cm / 15.75 inches Each antique that I sell has been selected for it's quality, condition and visual appeal.
