A fabulous English Victorian silver plated biscuit box/cookie jar with embossed decoration and and hinged lid. Has pie-crust edged base which stands on 3 ball feet. Made by James Dixon & Co, circa 1880.

Diameter across top: 5 " (approx 12.5cm)
Diameter across base: 7" (approx 17.5cm)

In good condition - any dark areas are shadows from the photography, there is no damage to the silver plate.
