A superb oval papier mache tray with a generously inlaid mother of pearl border enclosing a hand painted shipping scene. The quality of the painting is excellent. The condition of the tray is good, there has been some historic restoration to the outer rim, this has been done extremely well and is not easily visible. A very decorative tray with an unusual and dramatic subject.
