This Emerald and Diamond cluster clasp is a fine example of Victorian craftsmanship.

Mounted in medium to high carat gold (tested),the clasp features a 6 x 5 mm oval Emerald cabochon set in silver,surrounded by nine claw set 3 mm old cut Diamonds, totalling approximately 1.00 ct.

The reverse of the clasp features a well executed and neat fold-over locking bar which secures the tongue snap fastener in place.

Overall dimension of the clasp is 12 x 10.5 mm, with a weight of 2.10 grams.

It should be noted,the Emerald has surface rising flaw which I have tried to show in the images, but is quite difficult to see.

Otherwise the item is in very good condition.
