Victorian 19C oak walnut armchair throne chair
Antique Victorian 19C armchair throne chair.
This is a hardwood chair, we believe made mainly from walnut/mahogany, but many would think it was oak, based on the finish and look.
Fantastic Gothic styling and lovely wear/patination to the arms. Quite comfortable to sit in, as it has a racked back (leans back).
Quality and well made armchair, with no loose joints or wobbles.
A heavy, solid and strong chair with no woodworm.
Great proportions and styling, which would look amazing in the right location.
The upholstery is new, heavy weight with a natural, light cream/oatmeal colour. New feather seat cushion.
Overall maximum dimensions
68cmW x 104cmD x 123cmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. Period brass castors (with some wear as you might expect), later replacements to the rear. Some finish imperfections...possibly deliberately aged/antiqued at some point in its life, but this adds to the overall charm.
Stock No. 4034.
