Very Large French Gilt Over Mantle Mirror

The over mantel as it name implies was made to sit over the mantel piece and as so many fireplaces are opposite the window Mirrors were used to reflect more light into the room
The Old Gold frame is 4” wide and it is in good looking condition
This is a very tall piece with age darkened gilt frame the looking glass has very little foxing

This is a very heavy piece some of the fixings are still present and it has a new wooden back
The Mirror is 57” high, 45” wide
