A large pair of beautifully carved wooden bookends, depicting two atttractive native girls (possibly Polynesian?) weaving on looms.

Thought to date to the early 20th C. these are an unusal, finely carved and very practical substantial pair of bookends.

The pictures can describe them much better than I can.
