Very fine 19th Century Aesthetic period rose gold enamel locket pendant, unmarked fully tested for 10ct. The pendant measures 2.8cm x 2cm. Comes on a 9ct 24 inch rope chain. Total weight of gold is 13.8 grams.

The locket is beautifully crafted in typical Aesthetic period style with the front on a rose gold matt and black enamel design. You can still see the engraving of the small swallow on the plain part of the locket on the front. The back has a chased engraving with a vacant cartouche so can be personalised. Opens up to reveal a double locket with original glass still intact. The original photographs are still in situ but can be removed before purchase.

A quality piece which would make a unique and stunning gift which at over 130 years old is in excellent condition with no dents damage or repairs. Excellent hinge, original glass to the interior, snaps shut perfectly. A beautiful piece.
