Unusual Victorian Welsh oak spinning hall armchair
This is a very unusual Welsh armchair. It is late Victorian, dating to around 1890 or so. The chair is made in oak. It is a very unusual design. The chair is based on Welsh 'spinning' chairs with their high backs and triangular form seats. This is unusual in that it has curved arms. It is a very handsome and unusual in design.
The chair is in good condition. No sign of worm or damage.
This chair will look wonderful in a hallway or in a principal room. It will look good in a house furnished in Welsh vernacular antique furniture or even arts and Crafts. Good thing.
The chair back is 52 inches high and the seat is 17 inches high and it is 24.5 inches from outside arm to outside arm.
