A fine and unusual Victorian period oil painting. The painting obviously set during the medieval period, shows to ladies leaning out of first floor windows either conversing or arguing. The painting is very detailed and must tell a story, with the figure of a man in the street perhaps involved, or the cause of the discussion above. The painting is signed but I have been unable to distinguish the name. The whole is of lovely quality and remains in the original wonderful gilt frame. The frame and painting are untouched and in really, perfect condition. C.1880.
