Always very popular and a very useful desk-top accessory. These large circular magnifiers actually are the condenser or magnifier from a Magic Lantern they are rescued, polished up and put back to use in the modern day.

This one is exceptional, unusual and highly collectible with it's unusual frame and fittings which would have been used to fit into a Magic Lantern. This design was clearly revolutionary and rather special having a Patent number and dated 1911.

Wonderful condition, with a good magnification and a hefty piece to keep those papers in place. 5 1/2" max in diameter x 2" high to top of domed lens.
