Two nineteenth century tincture or dram glasses.
One with ovoid bowl,plain stem circular foot measures 9 cms high,,4.7 bowl and 4.8 foot.Ground out pontil.Circa 1830
Other with funnel bowl half flute cut,circular foot measures 9 cms high,4 cms bowl,4.5 foot.Circa 1880
Both in good condition.
Tincture glasses are so named as they were used to take semi medicinal mixtures of herbs and alcohol.They are invariably small versions of other glasses and below 4"(10 cms)in height.
