A stunning Tortoiseshell Pique Work Purse with matching Aide Memoire in original Powder Blue Velvet Lined Box The pique work is Gold, Silver and Mother of Pearl/Abalone and is extremely fine.Both the Purse and Aide Memoire are lined in Royal Blue Moire Silk.The Purse opens to reveal a Blue silk lined interior with an additional locking section in the middle.The Aide Memoire interior and Book are also lined with Blue Moire Silk.The Aide Memoire has it's original Gilt Pencil which is set with a Red Stone in the top.The both sit neatly in the original Box which when closed is wedge shaped.20cms x 11cms x 4cms x 2cms. C.1850.French. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
