A wonderful late Victorian tray by the top-notch silversmith, Elkington & Co.

Standing on four original bun feet, the square tray has a beautifully decorated gallery with an engraved surface incorporating a vacant circular cartouche.

This would maker the most perfect square wedding cake stand and could possibly have originally used for this purpose.

Being Elkington, the quality is exceptional and is fully marked on the underside for Elkington with the date letter E for the year 1890.

Excellent condition measuring 12" square x 1 1/2".
