A fine oil on canvas painting of the 'Valley of Llugwy' after Benjamin Williams Leader. The oil on canvas is a minutely executed copy of the original and is signed and dated by the artist C.R.Taylor 1900. It is not unusual for artists to be asked to copy famous works and the original painted in 1883 was well known and the artist Leader highly regarded. The painting is mounted in the original gilt frame with slip but the frame has been later regilded. The whole is in excellent condition and retains the original label on the reverse. C.1900.
