The bar is stamped 9ct Gold and the emblem is stamped 9ct.

There is a little loss to the green enamelling around the word Egypt. This can be seen on the enlarged photos. I can't see the damage with the naked eye but can with magnification.

Otherwise it is in very good condition.

There is a hoop on the back of the emblem which is for the fitting of a safety chain if desired.

I am not sure if the brooch refers to Egypt in the First or Second World War but the brooch is no newer than mid 20th century.

The box does show signs of its age throgh scuff marks but is sound with the catch and hinge working properly.

Approximate dimensions length 44mm, weight 2.4g, box 67mm x 35mm x 21mm tall, total weight 21g.
