In well-used condition with a lot of dents to brass. My son has tried to give it a blow after watching some YouTube videos, and it does make a sound. I would think it needs a good service, restoring and a clean. The mouthpiece does not come off. It dates from 1866 to 1901. Very nice item and would look great on display. Please study the photos and ask any questions.
